In 1996, Fran Healy borrowed 600 from his mum to pay for the recording of :Z|lGH =
Travis's very fi rst single. That track, the rousingly self-descriptive All I c(jF^ 0~
Want To Do Is Rock, was released on the band's own label, Red Telephone Box, d5$2*h{^v
with a sleeve designed by Healy. Only 750 copies were VXEA.Mko
made, but that was enough to kick-start a career for the four Glaswegian pals JEq0{_7
which has since reaped numerous hit singles, awards, platinum-selling albums and cn1CM'Ru
festival headline slots. Famous Now, twelve years on, the band have made 'Ode To _[}r2,e
J Smith', their loudest, edgiest and most arresting record since that formative t]1j4S"pm
track. Fittingly, they're revived Red Telephone Box to release it, with Healy 6||zwwk'.
